The law firm began from a family of lawyers in 1972. That was the year William D. Piedimonte started practicing with his father and his then partners in a firm under the name of Piedimonte and Cochran. In 1978 William D. and William A. Piedimonte (sometimes referred to as William A.) started practicing under the name of Piedimonte and Piedimonte. Years later, in 1993, William D. opened his own firm under the name of Piedimonte and Associates, P.C. In about 2000, James Piedimonte, William D.'s brother, joined the firm.
