EX PARTE ORDERS

  • Where to file for an Order of Protection
  • Information about completing your Petition for an Order of Protection is published in a booklet prepared by Jackson County.  Your attorney can  help you complete the paperwork to make sure the Court grants the Petition where appropriate.
  • Additional information and help (where you can go) can be obtained from additional agencies and organizations. Jackson County keeps a list of links.
  • If children are involved, the Court may appoint a Guardian Ad Litem to represent the children. Your attorney can explain the purpose of the guardian and what it means to you.
