GUARDIANSHIP

Missouri guardianship law is found at R.S.Mo. 475.030. Most people use a guardianship for a disabled parent or relative.  Occasionally, circumstances may require a guardianship to be  used for school purposes to enable a child to attend a school in a different school district from where his parent's live.  Whether the guardianship is by consent of all parties or a contested case makes a difference in the costs. Your attorney can give you advice as to probability of success, costs and if there are other means to accomplish the same goals.
